We’ve talked previously about having foundational optimization, page optimization, interlinking, and backlinks. Having one out of the four pieces is not enough anymore. A Google core update has radically changed the way things operate. And as such, we need to have a holistic approach to getting to page one, not just GMB. It’s not enough, especially in light of the fact that almost every website is weak, organically. Most of them don’t have any rankings or very few. Most of them don’t rank in the top 50 level or in the top 100. There are so many name, address, and phone number errors. It’s egregious. And that is fixable, not to mention none of them have any domain authority: scales of zero to a hundred going to Google. That’s part of the way that Google determines the power of a site. And, of course, that now intimately affects the GMB. So, without all these factors at work, your website stands to rank very poorly.

What can page one do for your business? Let’s talk about some real results because I think the most important thing is for you to understand that path to page one, that house we spoke of. I want to demonstrate the kind of results that it will produce. Head to Google and type in “Richmond, personal injury lawyer.” We’re skipping the expensive Google screened and paid ads. We don’t do those anymore. We used to; they just convert terribly. They’re wildly expensive.

As of writing this, here in the maps is a client, Ray Goodman, who has gone through the process and is in the number one position. And here he is in the number one position organically as well. This has been a long-term strategy for close to four years. When they started out, they didn’t exist in the maps. They were positioned 65 or 75, maybe 80, for their website. But when they employed some very specific strategies over the course of time, they produced amazing results.

Search “Buffalo personal injury lawyer.” If you look here again, skipping those expensive paid ads, you can see Brian and Ford. The strategy got them into the maps. And now they’re here in the number three position. A double top-three ranking is powerful. Notice the correlation: strong organic: strong maps, strong maps: strong organic. It’s not every single time, but the vast majority of times, we’re probably seeing 80 to 90% of all customers who rank in the maps also rank very well in organic.

“New York City, personal injury lawyer.” You’ll see the businesses who are likely spending $250 to $350 a call; it’s psychotic, a couple hundred bucks a click. It’s crazy for some of these terms. But the client using our method is in the number two position. Now she ranks very, very well for this particular term. She also ranks extremely well organically. She’s got a whole concert or series of rankings. This is the kind of program that gets these results.
